I am Dr. Rebecca Achokpe Andeshi is a Veterinarian by training and a social entrepreneur. I am also the founder of Awe Veterinary Healthcare Services- a veterinary healthcare company in Okpuno, Anambra State that uses innovative technology for diseases diagnosis, prevention and monitoring in animal species in Nigeria. This venture was created out of a passion to improve animal health via laboratory technique while combating zoonosis thus ensuring public health safety and empowering the girl child and women via income generation. I have over 5 years on the field experience on disease diagnosis and treatment in Animal species across North West, South-South and South Eastern Nigeria handling livestock pets and wildlife animals.

My experience during the Accelerate Labs exposed me to industry-specific mentors, networking opportunities. I have realized the importance of social entrepreneurship and the importance of social media marketing. After the training, I have been able to assemble a team and I am currently acquiring office space for my center. The training gave me the push I needed to start up and run my veterinary diagnostic center. My most important session was on Social Media Marketing, and I am deeply grateful to be mentored by Barr Ralph Ifedy.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to attend Accelerate Labs because without that I would not have had the exposure that I needed to take the important steps that I am taking today. Accelerate Labs has fuelled my drive and passion to contribute towards building sustainable food systems in Nigeria, Africa and the World at large.
